NY1 Anchor Roma Torre is set to host the free concert event Spotlight on Town Hall on Thursday, March 28 at 6pm which will also feature a special performance from Smash star and Tony-nominee Jeremy Jordan. He joins a lineup that will also include performances from the Broadway productions of Chicago and The Phantom of the Opera, Off-Broadway's Avenue Q, The New York City Gay Men's Chorus and The Town Hall Broadway's Rising Stars Chorus.

Critically acclaimed artist Kara Walker has, over the years, pursued the silhouette's implications and transformations in paintings, drawings, collages, shadow puppets, cut steel, film and video animations, and 'magic-lantern' projections. She returns to her signature cut-paper silhouettes in monumental form for a new site-specific, commissioned work titled Rise Up Ye Mighty Race! (2013), created specifically for the Art Institute of Chicago. The room installation--on view from February 21 through August 11, 2013, in Gallery 293 of the Modern Wing--will include five large-framed graphite drawings and 40 small-framed, mixed-media drawings along with the cut paper silhouettes.

Three of Saturday Night Live's famed cast members will reunite on stage when they visit MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods for a special performance on Saturday, May 25 at 8 p.m. The lineup includes seven season veteran, Dana Carvey, who established some of the show's best known characters; Dennis Miller, who served as the “Weekend Update” correspondent for six seasons and Kevin Nealon, whose reoccurring role as an anchor on “Weekend Update” made the sketch a show staple. Tickets for the highly-anticipated show are currently available and can be purchased in advance for $45, $60 and $75.

He was awarded the Medal of Honor on February 11th, 2013 by President Barack Obama.
