Stage and screen stars Kristin Chenoweth & Jim Parsons will announce this year's Tony nominees tomorrow morning, May 1, 8:30am EST at New York Public Library. The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards, which are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from the Beacon Theatre, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 10, 2012. Gregory Boyd, Artistic Director of the Tony Award-winning Alley Theatre, announces its new season of exciting plays created by a diverse group of playwrights who have collectively earned three Pulitzer Prizes, multiple Tony and Olivier Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and an Academy Award.

August Strindberg's Chekhovian comedy, 'Playing With Fire' (Leka med elden, 1893), in a translation by Ulrika Brand that has been newly adapted by Obie-winner Leslie Lee, Executive Director of Negro Ensemble Company, will be presented May 18 to June 10 with an all-black cast as the inaugural production of August Strindberg Repertory Theatre, directed by Robert Greer. The play, to be staged at New School for Drama, 151 Bank Street (West Village), will be a co-production of August Strindberg Repertory Theatre and Negro Ensemble Company in association with Theater Resources Unlimited.

The 18 productions discussed include: Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman; Once; Jesus Christ Superstar; Newsies; Gore Vidal's The Best Man; End of the Rainbow; Evita; Magic/Bird; Peter and the Starcatcher; One Man, Two Guvnors; Clybourne Park; A Streetcar Named Desire; Ghost the Musical; The Lyons; Nice Work If You Can Get It; The Columnist; Don't Dress for Dinner and Leap of Faith.

Lunar Energy Productions presents Katherine Sherman's noir fairy-tale 'Christopher Marlowe's Chloroform Dreams' at the Red Room.

OBAMA IN NAPLES, written by Italian Claudio Angelini, is scheduled to play its world premier at the June Havoc Theatre April 25 to May 6.

A Memorial Tribute honoring THEODORE MANN, Circle in the Square's Co-Founder, Artistic Director, and Co-Producer, who passed away on February 24 at the age of 87, will be held at Circle in the Square Theatre, 1633 Broadway, at 50th Street, on Tuesday, May 1, at 1 p.m. Seating is open to the general public on a first come, first-served basis.

Sideways The Play, adapted by Rex Pickett from his own novel, will play in its world premiere by the Ruskin Group Theatre in Los Angeles, May 18 through July 22, Fridays-Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm. It is the story of two friends - Miles and Jack - and their journey across the Santa Ynez wine country, on one last blowout trip before Jack gets married. Miles and Jack must face their uncertain futures…just as soon as they figure out how to survive their chaotic present.

New Repertory Theatre announces the encore staging of THREE VIEWINGS by Jeffrey Hatcher at Lane-Comley Studio 210, Boston University Theatre Complex, May 18 through June 3, 2012.

The Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the world premiere production of Bad Jews by Joshua Elias Harmon and directed by Daniel Aukin for the fall season. Bad Jews will begin preview performances on October 5, 2012 and will open officially on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. This is a limited engagement through December 16, 2012. All tickets for Roundabout Underground productions are $20.

The Amoralists will present the World Premiere of The Bad and the Better, written by Derek Ahonen, directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin and featuring The Amoralists acting ensemble. The acclaimed downtown theater company moves uptown for a 6-week Off-Broadway run from June 14 - July 21, 2012 at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, located at 416 West 42 Street between 9 and 10 Avenues in New York City. Previews begin June 14 for a June 19 opening.

The Emergent Arts Theatre Company (2009's The Mousetrap and 2011's Arsenic and Old Lace, both at The Arthur Miller Theatre, and Waiting For Godot at Riverside Arts Center) presents Neil Simon's legendary comedy The Odd Couple on May 24 through 27 at the Arthur Miller Theatre in The Walgreen Drama Center, 1226 Murfin, on the North Campus of the University Of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Shows are at 8 pm Thursday May 24 and Friday May 25, then at 2 pm and 8 pm on Saturday May 26, and at 2pm on Sunday May 27. Tickets are $20 General Admission, $16 Seniors and Students with ID. Guthrie Director Joe Dowling today announced 11 mainstage productions of the theater's 2012-2013 season. The theater's 50th season and seventh on the Mississippi River looks ahead to a vital future with highlights including three new commissioned plays and works that deal vigorously with themes of war, race and politics through history and contemporary times.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced today the final production of the 2012 Nikos Stage Season and an additional pre-season offering for the Festival's 58th, the second under Ms. Gersten's leadership. Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson (Pieces of April; WTF's The Ride Down Mount Morgan) and Bradley Cooper (Limitless; The Understudy at WTF) will return to Williamstown in The Elephant Man, written by Bernard Pomerance and directed by Scott Ellis, completing the Nikos Stage season and playing from July 25 - August 5, 2012.
