Musical Theatre of Anthem (MTA) announces their upcoming production of A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS, based on Arnold Lobel's well-loved books and the beautiful Broadway musical. A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS hops from page to stage to tell the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.

Celebrating over 20 years of acclaimed musical theatre training for young thespians, the Centenary Stage Company's Young Performers Workshop returns to the Little Theater August 3 through August 12 with the annual Summer Festival of Shows. These talented young thespians between the ages of 8 and 18 will present a variety of musical theater favorites including; Blood Brothers, A Year with Frog and Toad, The Drowsy Chaperone, Arthur Miller's All My Sons and the ever-popular One-Act Festival. The Young Performers Workshop is also seeking new and returning applicants for the 2018 Fall Session. Interviews will be held by appointment on Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12. Longtime Theatre Professor Directs Senior Citizens in A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD

Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT) the not-for-profit 501c3 community theatre located at 49 York Street in historic downtown Gettysburg, will present a musical perfect for the whole family, A Year With Frog And Toad, based on the children's books by Arnold Lobel. The performances will be 8pm Fridays and Saturdays and 2pm Sundays August 10-26, 2018 and tickets are available online at www.GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org or by calling 717-334-2692. Tickets can be purchased at the door if there are seats available. A Year With Frog And Toad is GCT's All-Senior Citizen Cast production for 2018. Each actor is retired or semi-retired ages 55+ and enjoys rehearsing during the day, which then allows the theatre to be available for other rehearsals in the evening of working adults and school children. Past Senior Citizen productions at GCT have been Fiddler On The Roof, Once Upon A Mattress, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and Nunsense. This production is made possible in part by grants from the Cultural Alliance of York County, The Robert C. Hoffman Trust held by the Adams County Community Foundation, and the Adams County Arts Council's Star Grant.

The children's theatre production A Year With Frog and Toad returns to the Arvada Center this fall, running October 13 December 29, 2017. The musical is adapted from the beloved Frog and Toad series of books by Arnold Lobel, and is suitable for all ages. A Year With Frog and Toad is directed by David & Julie Payne, with musical direction by Keith Ewer and choreography by Piper Arpan. The Arvada Center Artistic Producer is Rod A. Lansberry.
