Industry Bar has established a tradition of featuring some of the weeks most anticipated must- see entertainment. In addition to having one of the city's hottest happy hours, the popular gay watering hole hosts a week's long cornucopia of evening entertainment including Tuesday night's Sweet Spot, Thursday's Queen, Sunday's Guyote Ugly and, of course, DIVA! Mondays. Featuring live musical performances by celebrated artists, DIVA! Mondays stars the illustrious Marty Thomas (XANADU, WICKED, THE SECRET GARDEN) alongside Kelly King (MICHAEL BOLTON, BABYFACE), Alexa Green (WICKED), and Marissa Rosen (MY BIG GAY ITALIAN WEDDING). This month, the show will 'bring it' to the next level, courtesy of Broadway's BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL. For six weeks only, beginning Monday, October 1, a new female cast member from the blockbuster hit will take the DIVA! stage to prove that she's got what it takes to "Bring It On". Show times begin promptly at 11pm.

Universal Pictures Stage Productions/Glenn Ross, Beacon Communications/Armyan Bernstein & Charlie Lyons and Executive Producers Kristin Caskey and Mike Isaacson are pleased to announce the release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Bring It On: The Musical. The album, produced by Ghostlight Records and available on Back Lot Music, will be released for digital download on iTunes beginning September 25, 2012 and in stores October 16, 2012. The cast of Bring It On recorded the album at MSR Studios in New York City on August 9, 10 and 16, 2012 under the direction of Album Producers Alex Lacamoire, Tom Kitt and Kurt Deutsch.

CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but the cast of Broadway's BRING IT ON was already hard a work this week recording their track for the album. Reviewing mindless fun can be dangerous terrain.  In the first half of the last century magnificent wits like P.G. Wodehouse and George S. Kaufman wrote the books for mindlessly fun musical comedies showcasing scores by the likes of Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart and the Gershwins that invented a new sophistication in American music and lyrics.  The plots may have been silly, but the mindless fun of 1920s and 30s (Of Thee I Sing, Anything Goes, The Boys From Syracuse for starters) was often literate and inventive.

Tony Award-winning composer of the Broadway musical In the Heights Lin-Manuel Miranda has tackled a new beast with his latest project, Bring It On: The Musical. The show is now playing on Broadway at the St. James Theatre after a nationwide tour. The show, which was scheduled to close on Sunday, October 7, 2012, will now play its final performance on Sunday, January 20, 2013.
