STAGE TUBE: Sneak Peek of La Jolla's AMERICAN NIGHT

La Jolla Playhouse presents American Night: The Ballad of Juan José, written by Richard Montoya (Zorro in Hell) for Culture Clash, developed by Culture Clash and Jo Bonney (The Seven, Adoration of the Old Woman), directed by Jo Bonney. A co-production with Center Theatre Group and originally commissioned and produced by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, American Night: The Ballad of Juan José will run through February 26, 2012 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre. The Public Theater Shifts THE TOTAL BENT Performances to Begin 2/24

The Public Theater announced new February dates today for THE TOTAL BENT by Stew and Heidi Rodewald and directed by Joanna Settle. The shift in dates for this Public Lab production is due to an unforeseen construction-related delay that prevented the show from getting into the theater on the scheduled start date. The Public Theater's building renovation has been underway since fall 2008 and is expected to be completed on time this summer.

Philadelphia Theatre Company will present the second production and East Coast premiere of Barrymore Award-winning playwright Bruce Graham's newest play The Outgoing Tide, running March 23-April 22 at PTC's home at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets).

DCTC Announces Colorado New Play Summit Lineup

The Denver Center Theatre Company (DCTC) today announced of the lineup of playwrights and directors for its Seventh Annual Colorado New Play Summit. Over three days, February 10 -12, 2012 in downtown Denver, DCTC will present multiple showings of four play readings, a multimedia workshop and two fully-produced main stage plays, including new works by Pulitzer nominee Lisa Loomer, 2011 Obie winner Samuel D. Hunter, and direction by Broadway veterans Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime) and Sam Buntrock (Sunday in the Park with George).

Roundabout Theatre Company in association with Damian Arnold, has announced casting for the Broadway premiere of Marc Camoletti's classic farce Don't Dress For Dinner, starring Ben Daniels as "Robert," Melora Hardin as "Jacqueline," Adam James as "Bernard" and Jennifer Tilly as "Suzanne" with Spencer Kayden as "Suzette." Don't Dress For Dinner is adapted by Robin Hawdon and directed by John Tillinger.

Arena Stage Announces Winners of Student 10-Minute Play Competition

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater today announced eight winners of the 2011/2012 Student Playwrights Project 10-Minute Play Competition-an annual event in which D.C.-area students submit original 10-minute plays into competition. Nearly 800 works were submitted from students in D.C.-area middle and high schools this year.

Colony Theater Presents OLD WICKED SONGS, Previews 2/1

The Colony Theatre is set to present the fifth production of its 37th season of shows, the Pulitzer Prize nominee, OLD WICKED SONGS, written by Jon Marans and directed by Stephanie Vlahos. OLD WICKED SONGS will preview on Wednesday, February 1; Thursday, February 2; and Friday, February 3 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, February 4 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, March 4 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street (at Cypress) adjacent to the Burbank Town Center.
