Jonathan Coy, Janie Dee, Robert Glenister, Jamie Glover, Celia Imrie, Karl Johnson, Aisling Loftus, Amy Nuttall and Paul Ready have been cast in Michael Frayn's irresistible, multi-award-winning backstage comedy Noises Off, directed by Linsday Posner, which previews from 3 December, with a press night on 13 December 2011.

The Critics' Circle Theatre Awards 2010 were hosted today by its Chairman, Mark Shenton, theatre critic for the Sunday Express and daily blogger for The Stage website, at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London. For the seventh year, the awards were presented in association with Nyman Libson Paul Chartered Accountants, leading entertainment industry specialists; and supported by Delfont Mackintosh Theatres and lastminute.com.

PASSION, CLYBOURNE PARK Win London Evening Standard Awards

According to the BBC, PASSION was named the Best Musical at the 56th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards while Bruce Norris's CLYBOURNEY PARK won the Best Play Award on Nov. 28 in a ceremony at London's Savoy Hotel. Sir Peter Hall was also honored with the Moscow Art Theatre's Golden Seagull Award for his contribution to world theatre while Sir Michael Gambon was awarded the Lebedev Special Award for his contribution to British theatre.

London's Royal Court Theatre dominated the nominations for the 2010 Evening Standard Awards, receiving 11 nominations, the most of any London theatre. The Royal Court further cemented its reputation as the writers' theatre, claiming every nomination in both the Best Play and Most Promising Playwright categories. The nominations were spread between six different Royal Court productions.
