CBS today unveiled its 2016-2017 primetime lineup, featuring three new comedies, five new dramas and 21 returning series.

IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX), Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, and Sony Pictures Entertainment today announced that The Magnificent Seven, starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, and Ethan Hawke and directed by Antoine Fuqua, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX format.

A&E Network is in development on a new sketch comedy, music and showcase series 50 CENT PRESENTS (working title) developed by, starring and executive produced by renowned rapper, actor, entrepreneur Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson.

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that the Academy Award, Golden Globe & BAFTA winning actor Forest Whitaker will make his highly anticipated Broadway debut in HUGHIE, by four- time Pulitzer Prize winner and Nobel Prize Laureate Eugene O'Neill. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award winner winner Michael Grandage, HUGHIE will play a strictly limited engagement in the spring of 2016 on Broadway at a Shubert Theatre to be announced.

Jonathan Demme's musical dramedy RICKI AND THE FLASH, starring Meryl Streep, will open the 68th Locarno Film Festival. The film was written by Diablo Cody (Juno) will have its world premiere on August 5 at the Festival's Piazza Grande.

Starz today announced the highly anticipated return of original series “Power” tonight, June 6th at 9pm ET/PT. The second season of “Power” features ten hour-long episodes, a bump from the first season's order of eight episodes.
