Nice workshop presentation of the world premiere of Diana Amsterdam's THE DODGERS. Maybe, joints should have been passed out along with the programs, so that the audience could be on the same plane as the characters in the opening scenes - as Dave Solomon directed - in a most relaxed, lethargic state of being high.  

Ashley Kate Adams of AKA Studio Productions and Jim Kierstead will present the World Premiere of a new American play, THE DODGERS, written by Diana Amsterdam and directed by Dave Solomon, BroadwayWorld has learned.

THE BLACK BOOK, a mystery thriller that challenges you to 'read between the minds,' premiered Off-Broadway on September 13th at the American Theatre of Actors (314 W 54th St). Tickets are now available for Fracture Theatre Co.'s production of URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL. The show will be recreated in it's original Off-Broadway home, The American Theatre of Actors with a cast of 23. The show will run from October 16th to the 24th with rehearsals scheduled to begin Sept. 8th.

YOUR BLUES AIN'T SWEET LIKE MINE began its three-week run April 17 at the Two River Theater in Red Bank by focusing on the important issue of race in America. Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson's script and direction produced a realistic and meaningful production that reinforced the concept that more than home is where the heart is - it's where you are as well - and asked many poignant questions whose answers appear at different points in the performance.

Writer and artistic director, Danny Coates-Finke, describes the play as 'A scary, sometimes funny, always exciting journey down the rabbit-hole of masculinity and its consequences'. Show has limited run, today, October 23rd - October 26th.
