The Alternative Theater Company presents ALTERED MINDS, Off-Broadway AEA Showcase, a collection of short plays, from quirky to inspiring, on relevant mental health issues and the stories of those whose lives they touch.

The Dramatists Guild of America has announced the launch of a new podcast, TALKBACK, available on all your favorite podcast platforms beginning October 21st.

United Solo, the world's largest solo theatre festival, is bringing together over 130 shows from all over the world for its tenth anniversary. These shows will offer audiences intimate theatre experiences highlighting the talent, unique perspectives, and storytelling prowess of participating artists. Many promising shows have captured the public's imagination, have sold out their first performances at the Festival, and may now be offered additional performances. Fourteen bestselling shows are now sold out at United Solo. Three of these SOLD-OUT shows are part of THE BEST OF category, which recognizes the greatest artistic achievements of United Solo's first decade.

There has never been a lack of extraordinary talent at United Solo. Year by year, audiences have witnessed some of the most amazing solo artists from all over the world share their talents and stories. Some of these artists have made a particularly incredible mark on the audience's hearts through their performances on the United Solo stage at Theatre Row on 42nd Street in Manhattan. Therefore, during the first two weeks of the 10th anniversary season of United Solo, nearly thirty award-winning performers will be gracing the stage once again in THE BEST OF category.

Anita Hollander lost her left leg to cancer in 1977 and channeled her experiences and musical theater skills into writing and performing a solo show, STILL STANDING: A MUSICAL SURIVAL GUIDE FOR LIFE'S CATASTROPHES. With songs, wit, and a powerful message of resilience, Hollander represents something far greater than mere survival when she takes the stage in New Rep's BlackBox Theater at the Mosesian Center for the Arts.

New Repertory Theatre presents Still Standing, the inspirational one-woman musical written and performed by disability advocate Anita Hollander. The production runs February 9 - March 3, 2019 in the BlackBox Theater at the Mosesian Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA. The Green Room 42, Broadway's newest urban entertainment cabaret club, presents A Night on the Town: A Benefit Cabaret on July 22nd at 9:30pm. Join the cast of Waxler Productions' On the Town as they belt out classic and contemporary Broadway tunes. Performers from the casts of Broadway hits like Disaster!, Book of Mormon, and Wicked join the ensemble in a night to benefit the inaugural production.

On June 1st, 2018, Art House Productions' JC Fridays will be focusing on accessibility in the arts! Jersey City's premiere quarterly arts festival features art events that take place in restaurants, galleries, stores and event spaces in almost every neighborhood of our great city. ACCESS JC FRIDAYS will showcase a variety of happenings including visual exhibitions, live music, performance acts and educational demonstrations, all showing work from artists with disabilities or offering accessible participation options.

Becoming Dr. Ruth will replace Vieux Carre as the final production during the season, a compelling one-woman show about the world's most famous sex therapist, Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

Theater Breaking Through Barriers, who scored a hit last summer with Samuel D. Hunter's The Healing, celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Ridiculous Theatrical Company with the first Off-Broadway revival of THE ARTIFICIAL JUNGLE by Charles Ludlam.

Two distinctive pieces of theater - a drama about pioneering gay illustrator J.C. Leyendecker, and a musical comedy version of the Greek classic Electra - will be featured in this year's New York New Works Theatre Festival, August 29 through September 14.

Brooklyn's acclaimed Brave New World Repertory Theatre will present the world premiere of THE IMMORTALS, a trilogy of one-act plays by legendary Brooklyn playwright Charles L. Mee, presented over three weeks, May 11-26 at Glasshouse, a unique art/performance space in Williamsburg, including five free performances open to the public.

Henry Wishcamper's contemporary take on Thornton Wilder's THE MATCHMAKER -- the inspiration for the musical Hello, Dolly! -- revealing social truths through mistaken identity, outrageous misbehavior and spontaneous romance, appears in Goodman Theatre's 856-seat Albert Theatre, now through April 10, 2016. The company is proud to announce that the 8pm performance today, June 14 will feature ASL interpretation by sign language interpreters Sarah Brandenburg and Craig Fogel.
