The Drama Desk nominated MARVELL REP will present its Winter 2013 Repertory Project, Desire & Delusion: 3 plays in repertory, from February 8 - March 17, at TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street. The project will feature the company's first World Premiere, NIGHT GAMES, a new play written & directed by MARVELL REP Artistic Director, Lenny Leibowitz (February 8-March 6), adapted from the novella Spiel im Morgengrauen, by Arthur Schnitzler. NIGHT GAMES will be followed (in repertory) by SECRETS, The Untold Story of Sigmund Freud & Carl Jung, an original play written & directed by Ken Wydro (February 11-March 10) & FLIRTATION written by Arthur Schnitzler& also directed by Lenny Leibowitz (February 19 - March 17, 2013). Following tonight's February 22nd 8pm performance of SECRETS, the Untold Story of Sigmund Freud & Carl Jung, an original play written & directed by Ken Wydro, two noted psychoanalysts will take part in a panel discussion about the careers & philosophies of Freud & Jung. SECRETS dramatizes the intense personal & professional relationship between Sigmund Freud & Carl Gustav Jung in the early years of psychoanalysis, 1907 - 1913 & is based on the 1000 letters shared by both men. A theatrical performance of the original drama SECRETS - The Untold Story of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, written and directed by Ken Wydro (co-writer and director of Mama, I Want to Sing: The Next Generation) will be presented in German for three performances only at the Mama Foundation for the Arts (located at 149 West 126th Street, between Lenox and Seventh Aves). Translated into German by Karin Eberhardt, SECRETS (or GEHEIMNISSE) will be performed on Friday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 18 at 4:00 p.m. There will be a Q&A discussion with the author and the cast during a wine & snacks reception after each performance. Tickets are $45 / $20 for students and actors with valid ID. (more...)

Last night, Primary Stages opened Happy Now? by Lucinda Coxon. With direction by Liz Diamond, the seven-member cast features Kate Arrington as Bea, Kelly AuCoin as Johnny, Mary Bacon as Kitty, Brian Keane as Carl, Joan MacIntosh as June, Quentin Mare as Miles and CJ Wilson as Michael. Performances began on January 26, 2010 and will run through Saturday, March 6, 2010 only at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. BroadwayWorld was on hand to celebrate the evening. (more...)
