Philip J. Smith to Be Honored at Theatre Development Fund Gala on 3/4; Bernadette Peters & More to Perform

Philip J. Smith, the Chairman and Co-Chief Executive of the Shubert Organization will be honored at Theatre Development Fund's gala on Monday, March 4 which celebrates the 40th Anniversary of TKTS in Times Square. (TKTS Times Square will turn 40 on June 25, 2013). The gala will be held at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street, NYC). Media Theatre to Honor Jed Bernstein, 2/23

Broadway and Bucks County Playhouse Producing Director Jed Bernstein will be recognized at The Media Theatre Gala on Saturday February 23 for his contribution to the American theatre. He will receive the 2013 Achievement in The Theatre Award during the evening's pre-show ceremony, which will culminate with a performance by Broadway star Justin Guarini.

The Australian Premiere of Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic play Driving Miss Daisy is currently playing at The Playhouse, QPAC, Brisbane. The production stars two of the world's greatest living actors- five-time Tony Award and three-time Academy Award nominee Angela Lansbury and two-time Tony Award winner and Academy Award winner James Earl Jones, alongside four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines. Boyd Gaines to Direct Bucks County Playhouse's THE TALE OF THE ALLERGIST'S WIFE, Summer 2013

Bucks County Playhouse has announced that Charles Busch's Tony Nominated play The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, directed by four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines will be the final production of the 2013 Summer season. Performances run from Thursday, August 15th through Sunday, September 1st at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street in New Hope, PA). The cast will be announced shortly.

Bucks County Playhouse announced earlier this year that they would be presenting THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES with a star-studded cast. The cast includes Andrea McArdle, Adriane Lenox, Olivia Oguma and Zuzanna Szadkowski. In addition, Karen Lynn Carpenter directs the show. These multi-talented artists bring a variety of talent to the show.
