SHOWSEARCH, the Festival's nation-wide search for the best ten minute musical written by 16-to-25-year-olds crowned its winners March 23rd in Los Angeles at the Ramon C. Award-winning actor, singer, dancer and comedian Eddie Mekka, who is famously recognized for his role as "Carmine 'the big Ragu' Ragusa" from the ABC-TV sitcom Laverne and Shirley, returns to Naples, Sunday, March 24 to headline TheatreZone's fundraiser Eddie Mekka…with a little Ragoo on the Side.

The British premiere of Jerry Herman's musical Dear World, starring Betty Buckley and Paul Nicholas and directed and choreographed by Gillian Lynne, opened on 13 February and closes two weeks early today, 16 March 2013, at Charing Cross Theatre. Driving Miss Daisy is a Pulitzer Prize winning Alfred Uhry play that first premiered in 1987 about the relation between an elderly Southern Jewish woman, Daisy (Lansbury), and her African-American chauffeur, Hoke (James Earl Jones), as well as her son, Boolie (Boyd Gaines). With a focus on the themes of segregation and friendship, it is story which tugs strongly at the heartstrings.
