She'll be glowin', crowin', goin' strong - cabaret diva KLea Blackhurst is sure to delight Goodspeed audiences as Dolly Levi at the Goodspeed Opera House this summer. Goodspeed Musicals is thrilled to announce that this spirited vocal powerhouse will be right where she belongs beginning June 28th.

Ms. Blackhurst is an actress and singer widely known for her award-winning tribute to Ethel Merman, Everything the Traffic Will Allow, which she has performed in venues across the U.S. and in London. Klea has performed concert engagements with symphony orchestras nationwide and abroad including the London Palladium presentation of Jerry Herman's Broadway with Angela Lansbury and the recent Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra tribute to Marvin Hamlisch.

Most recently she created the role of Miss Lemon in the new musical The Nutty Professor, which premiered this past summer in Nashville, directed by legendary comedian Jerry Lewis and featuring a score by Marvin Hamlisch and Rupert Holmes, and she starred as Mama Rose in the highly acclaimed production of Gypsy at Drury Lane Oakbrook in Chicago.

Her New York theatre credits include the upcoming production of Happy Hunting at the York Theatre, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, Bingo, By Jupiter, Radio Gals, and Oil City Symphony. Regionally she has appeared in Call Me Madam; Chicago; The Great American Trailer Park Musical; Red, Hot and Blue; and Anything Goes.
