With Schermerhorn Symphony Center damaged by the extensive downtown flooding, the Nashville Symphony has moved swiftly to find alternative venues for multiple May concerts. The first of these is tomorrow (Friday) night's 8 p.m. free outdoor public concert in front of the Metro Courthouse, One Public Square.

The Civilians (Steven Cosson, Artistic Director), the acclaimed Brooklyn-based investigative theater company, will host its annual spring benefit on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Kiss & Fly Club in Manhattan.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will welcome back NEW WORK NOW!, the popular reading series that allows audiences an opportunity to experience new work by a diverse selection of established and emerging theater artists for FREE, beginning Friday, May 7.

Nashville Ballet promises to unveil 'magical surprises' in one of Shakespeare's favorite comedies with the world premiere of Paul Vasterling's original adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream, April 23-25, in Andrew Jackson Hall at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
