Kristin Chenoweth has been knocking 'em out on her first ever world tour which opened in Seattle on May 9th and has been touring North America to much fanfare ever since. Tonight, June 12, she takes the stage in Toronto and will head to Cleveland for a show tomorrow, June 13.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) began previews on Tuesday, June 5, for AS YOU LIKE IT, the first show of The Public's 50th Anniversary season at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park--home of free Shakespeare in the Park. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, AS YOU LIKE IT will continue for four weeks through Saturday, June 30, with an official press opening on Thursday, June 21. Several weeks ago a study listed George W. Bush among the worst presidents of the United States. Also on that list was Andrew Jackson. However, in contrast to Bush, Jackson was also on the roll of the best presidents. That dichotomy is well noted in BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, now rocking the Studio Theatre at The Beck Center for the Arts.

Off-Broadway's Page 73 Productions will present its first "Page 2" presentation of 2012 - a developmental workshop of A THICK DESCRIPTION OF HARRY SMITH (Volume I) by Chicago-based playwright Carlos Murillo (DARK PLAY OR STORIES FOR BOYS) and directed by Kip Fagan (Page 73's JACK'S PRECIOUS MOMENT), with performances June 28 through July 2 at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street), it has been announced by Page 73's Executive Directors Liz Jones and Asher Richelli.

Christian Borle to Depart PETER AND THE STARCATCHER in July?

A casting notice has revealed potential July starting dates for a new actor to take over for the Tony-nominated Christian Borle as 'Black Stache' in Peter and the Starcatcher when he departs (as expected) for the filming of season two of NBC's SMASH. We're told by a production source that no official date has been set for Borle's last performance, which remains to be determined.

The producers of Peter and the Starcatcher, the new Broadway hit written by Tony® Award-nominee Rick Elice (Jersey Boys) and directed by Tony® Award-winner Roger Rees (Nicholas Nickleby) and Tony® Award-nominee Alex Timbers (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, The Pee-wee Herman Show), have announced that a new block of tickets are now on sale for the season's most Tony-nominated play. Tickets can now be purchased through September 30, 2012, via Ticketmaster and in person at the box office of the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47 Street).
Benjamin Walker to Star in THE GREAT WALL Movie?

According to Deadline.com, stage and screen star Benjamin Walker is currently in talks to star opposite Henry Cavill in Ed Zwick's THE GREAT WALL film. Alexander Skarsgard is also up for the role. The film, as described by Deadline, is about 'British warriors traveling through 15th Century China and happen upon the hurried construction of the massive wall.'
