USA Network announced today the ten honorees for the second annual Character Approved Awards, including Green Day and playwright Nora Ephrron. The Character Approved Awards are a multimedia campaign honoring individuals who are changing the face of American culture. Inspired by USA's Characters Welcome brand, the initiative is dedicated to celebrating the true trailblazers across a variety of disciplines such as art, philanthropy, new media and film.

Producers Tom Hulce and Ira Pittelman announced the complete Broadway cast of AMERICAN IDIOT today. The production will begin previews on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 and open on Broadway Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44 Street).

'One Day More' For Signature's LES MIZ, Extends Thru 2/22

Signature Theatre today announced that the run of its innovative new production of Les Miserables will be extended for four weeks through February 22 due to ticket demand.
The environmental staging brings the beloved musical's epic scale of 28 actors, 138 costumes, a Broadway-sized 14-piece orchestra, and a five-ton steel set right into the audience's laps in the intimacy of Signature's 280-seat MAX Theatre.
Andre Call to play Marius in Signature's 'LES MIS' 12/2

Signature Theatre today announced that Andrew Call will sing the role of the student revolutionary Marius in its upcoming production of Les Misérables. He will replace Doug Kreeger, who will be performing in the new off-Broadway production of Rooms. Call recently performed in Signature's world premiere production of Glory Days, playing the role of the would-be jock Andy. Call has also performed in Cry-Baby and High Fidelity on Broadway, in Altar Boyz off-Broadway, and in national tours of Saturday Night Fever and Altar Boyz.
