What with all the creativity being expressed onstage at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre during the run of the Tony Award-winning Jersey Boys, it should come as no surprise that imaginations were just as active - and as fertile - backstage. Take for example, the creation of The Doo Wop Project, the six-member enclave of performers that was borne of offstage conversations and considerations among some cast members of the long-running show.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced the nominations for the 2019 Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards. These awards reward the very best in television craft and television programmes broadcast in the UK in 2018. The Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards ceremony will be held at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 12 May with the British Academy Television Craft Awards taking place two weeks earlier on Sunday 28 April at The Brewery, London.

Hotly tipped singer-songwriter Iyamah has unveiled her brand of raw neo-soul with her much anticipated EP, 'Truth EP.1'. Recently, Vevo connected with her for cool performances of 'Girls Need Love' and 'Karma' from the 'Last Days' album. The former got a boost this year by way of a Drake verse for the remix. The UK's Bad Sounds will be touching down on U.S, soil next week as they embark on their first North American tour. The party kicks off with shows during SXSW and quickly follows with a tour as direct support for Broods. Those shows kick off March 26 in Santa Ana, CA and conclude in Washington, DC on April 20. Along the way they stop in Los Angeles on March 27 for a show at The Fonda and hit NYC's Irving Plaza on April 18. Jake Brennan, host and producer of the rock and roll true crime podcast 'Disgraceland,' and iHeartMedia, the No. 1 commercial podcast publisher globally with over 20,000 podcasts on its platform, today announced at the Winter Podcast Upfront a new partnership to bring listeners two additional seasons of “Disgraceland” to the iHeartPodcast Network. Season 3 will feature 10 episodes and will debut everywhere March 14 with part one of a two-part episode on Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, part two will follow on March 19. Subsequent new episodes will be released bi-weekly on Tuesdays beginning March 26 with an episode on Snoop Dogg. Rising Brighton soul singer Celeste confirms the dates of her debut headline shows in Los Angeles and New York today.
