On Saturday and Sunday, September 19th and 20th, New York Theatre Ballet will present four ballets in an unforgettable evening.

The American Ballet Theater's spring 2016 season will include one world premiere and one American premiere. The lineup includes seven full-length ballets and two triple bills. The full-lengths are “Le Corsaire,” “La Fille Mal Gardée,” “The Golden Cockerel,” “Romeo and Juliet,” “The Sleeping Beauty,” “Swan Lake” and “Sylvia.” The two triple bills will be “The Shostakovich Trilogy” and another yet to be announced.

Casting for American Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker, co-presented by Segerstrom Center for the Arts and ABT, was announced today by Kevin McKenzie, ABT Artistic Director. Choreographed by ABT Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, The Nutcracker will be given 14 performances at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, December 10-20, 2015.

Linda Shelton, Executive Director of The Joyce Theater Foundation, announced today that due to altitude sickness that also caused her to cancel scheduled performances at the recent Vail International Dance Festival, Sara Mearns will be unable to appear in the August 13 and 14 performances of The Joyce's current Ballet Festival. American Ballet Theatre dancer Stephanie Williams will take her place in the work, Partita No. 2 in C Minor, by choreographer Emery LeCrone.

Before the curtain falls on her final ever performance in Australia, one of the world's greatest dancers, Sylvie Guillem, will take to the stage for a free talk and audience Q&A at the Sydney Opera House.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, New York City Ballet principal dancer and Theatre World Award Winner Megan Fairchild departed the Broadway revival of On The Town last weekend. Now, New York City Ballet soloist Georgina Pazcoguin steps into the role of 'Ivy Smith' for performances from tonight, August 11, through August 23. Beginning August 25, Misty Copeland will make her Broadway debut in the role for 12 performances only, through September 6.

Marking their 19th visit to Segerstrom Center for the Arts, audience favorite Emerson String Quartet returns to Samueli Theater on Thursday, October 22 at 8 p.m. in a program featuring Haydn's dazzling String Quartet in D minor 'Fifths,' Bartok's String Quartet No. 4 and the rarely performed String Quartet No. 15 in G major by Schubert.

Boston, MA—Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen has announced the 2015-2016 season roster, featuring 11 new dancers and six promotions from within the Company. The Company will be comprised of 68 dancers—including 10 dancers in Boston Ballet II (BBII)—representing 20 nationalities. The full company has returned to its 19 Clarendon Street studios in preparation for the 2015-2016 season.

New York City Ballet principal dancer and Theatre World Award Winner Megan Fairchild will depart the Broadway revival of ON THE TOWN on August 9 to return to the NYC Ballet. Fairchild will be succeeded by New York City Ballet soloist Georgina Pazcoguin, who will step into the role of 'Ivy Smith' for performances from August 11 - 23. Beginning August 25,Misty Copeland will make her Broadway debut as 'Ivy Smith' for 12 performances only, through September 6.

On Tuesday, August 4, 2015, the Joyce Theater opened its Ballet Festival with MOVE: the company. Joshua Beamish , Choreographer and Artistic Director, has been touring extensively with his company since its founding in 2005; and has been collaborating with notable companies, schools, and principal dancers ever since. This performance was especially inviting, as many of his dancers perform with American Ballet Theatre and other top companies. It was fun to see soloists and corps de ballet members having the opportunity to shine, dancing contemporary ballet works using their technical prowess and, in some cases, expressiveness.

Rising young choreographer CLAUDIA SCHREIER will present a program of her works, including three World Premieres, featuring dancers from New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Dance Theatre of Harlem and more. The program will also feature an original commissioned score by multi-Emmy Award-winning composer JEFF BEAL (House of Cards), performed live by string trio and piano, and the 20-member choir TAPESTRY. On Saturday, August 29th the Orpheum Theatre will unveil its newest and grandest art installation, "Orpheus Ascending" by world-renowned sculptor Richard MacDonald. MacDonald will be present at the event and honored for his work. The dedication will coincide with the Orpheum's 21st Annual Art Sale, taking place from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.

A charismatic new force in contemporary dance, Havana-based Malpaso Dance Company comes to Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival's intimate Ted Shawn Theatre, this weekend, August 5-9.

San Francisco, CA, August 4, 2015 – Artistic Director and choreographer Charles Anderson's award-winning Company C Contemporary Ballet will present the world premiere of his new, evening-length story ballet, Arcane: A Tale of All Hallows' Eve in seven performances October 24-31 at the Cowell Theater in San Francisco. The production features an original story and choreography by Anderson, a commissioned musical score by Mike Krisukas of Zen for Primates, steam punk-inspired set and lighting designs by Patrick Toebe and the costumes by Laura Hazlet and will be performed by a company of 16 dancers, 9 musicians and narrator.
