Broadway Sings Justin Timberlake, the sixth concert of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series, just continued last night at (le) Poisson Rouge. More than 15 Broadway performers were accompanied by a full jazz band playing brand new, original orchestrations of Timberlake's greatest hits. A reading of Harriet, a musical based on the life of Harriet Tubman, will be presented today, July 16, at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., and on Sunday, July 20 at 12 p.m. in The Studio Theatre at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street (between 9th Avenue & Dyer Avenue). Harriet is an official selection of the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Musical Theatre Factory Hosts Developmental Workshop Of Zoe Sarnak's THE YEARS BETWEEN, 7/7

Rehearsals begin this weekend for a Musical Theatre Factory development workshop of composer Zoe Sarnak's THE YEARS BETWEEN, an exploration of New York millennials set to a rock, folk, pop and soul score. Featuring Lilli Cooper (Spring Awakening), Laura Dreyfuss (Once), Amber Iman (Soul Doctor), Gabe Violet (Spring Awakening), Taylor Noble (A Lasting Impression), and Josh Tolle (Next to Normal at Drury Lane), the workshop will be directed by opera director Kevin Newbury, choreographed by Jason Sparks, and music directed by Andy Einhorn (Cinderella, Bullets Over Broadway). Jen Hoguet is producing in collaboration with Musical Theatre Factory.
