ABFF Ventures announced today their selection of finalists who will compete at the 7th annual ABFF Comedy Wings Competition, presented by HBO. Last night, nine comedians competed in the ABFF Comedy Wings Semifinals Showcase held at the HaHa Comedy Club in Los Angeles, hosted by Chris Spencer.

 Comedy Central, the #1 brand in comedy, Superfly, the founders behind Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands co-producer Another Planet Entertainment, today announced that Amy Poehler & Friends, Fred Armisen, Neal Brennan, and a live read of Clueless featuring Issa Rae, have been added to this year's Clusterfest lineup, joining an impressive roster including John Mulaney, Patton Oswalt, Leslie Jones, The Roots, Chelsea Peretti, Courtney Barnett, My Favorite Murder, and many more. In addition, the daily lineup was released for the three-day comedy and music festival with single-day tickets on sale today at 10 a.m. PT. Gilda's LaughFest today announced the addition of comedian Amanda Seales, who will perform on March 9 at 8pm at the Fountain Street Church as well as a sixth show for Matt Bellassai on Sunday, March 10 at 9pm. The Kennedy Center will present comedian, writer, and producer Amanda Seales in a three-night, multifaceted residency exploring the intersection of comedy, Hip Hop, and jazz.  In this first of its kind residency, Seales has created multi-genre performances that utilizes her witty commentary on culture to entertain and inform audiences.

NBC has named comedian Mike E. Winfield as the winner of its 15th annual StandUp NBC competition, the network's annual nationwide search for comedians of diverse backgrounds. Winfield has been awarded a talent holding deal with NBCUniversal and a headlining spot at the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) annual convention where he will perform for talent bookers from across the country. He will also headline the regional semi-finalist showcases for the 2019 StandUp NBC competition.

Comedian Amanda Seales (HBO's “Insecure”) headlines her first hour-long comedy special when AMANDA SEALES: I BE KNOWIN' debuts SATURDAY, JAN. 26 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Taped at the Edison Ballroom in New York City, the exclusive presentation was directed by Stan Lathan and produced for HBO by Jesse Collins Entertainment.

Last night, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's 60th Anniversary holiday season at New York City Center kicked off with a star-studded Opening Night Gala Benefit performance and party led by Artistic Director Robert Battle, with iconic film stars Angela Bassett and Cicely Tyson as honorary chairs. Prudential Financial received the Ailey Legacy Honor for their generous support and commitment to Ailey, especially its education and community programs. The award was presented by Battle and Christopher Taylor, an alumnus of the inaugural AileyCamp Newark (2011) and a current scholarship student at The Ailey School, and accepted by Lata Reddy, Senior Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion and Impact at Prudential Financial.

Comedian Amanda Seales (HBO's “Insecure”) will debut her first hour-long comedy special on HBO early next year, it was announced today by Nina Rosenstein, executive vice president, HBO Programming. Taping Sunday, Nov. 25 at the Edison Ballroom in New York, AMANDA SEALES: I BE KNOWIN' will be directed by Stan Lathan and produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment.

#iVoted, the massive voter turnout initiative founded by manager / entrepreneur Emily White, Pat Sansone of Wilco, and Madison House's Mike Luba, has activated 78 venues nationwide to reward fans who vote November 6th for fans who show a selfie from outside of their polling place with tickets and non-alcoholic drinks. More artists and venues have been adding their names to the list daily in the lead up to the elections.

HBO has renewed the comedy series BALLERS for a fifth season and INSECURE for a fourth season, it was announced today by Amy Gravitt, executive vice president, HBO Programming.
