Gideon and Ground UP to Stage World Premiere of ASYMMETRIC at 59E59 Next Month

Ground UP Productions in association with Gideon Productions will present the New York Premiere of Mac Rogers' Asymmetric at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street between Park and Madison Avenue) November 14-December 6.

59E59 Theaters will host the New York premiere of ASYMMETRIC, written by Mac Rogers and directed by Jordana Williams. Produced by Ground UP Productions in association with Gideon Productions, ASYMMETRIC begins performances on Friday, November 14 for a limited engagement through Saturday, December 6. Press opening is Wednesday, November 19 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30PM; Saturday at 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM. Please note: there is an added performance on Saturday, November 29 at 2:30 PM and there is no performance on Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving). Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Tickets are $25 ($17.50 for 59E59 Members). The company is proud to announce that the 8pm performance today, June 14 will feature ASL interpretation by sign language interpreters Sarah Brandenburg and Craig Fogel.

Vital Theatre Company and HIT Entertainment are pleased to announce the return of the yuletide hit, Angelina Ballerina The Very Merry Holiday Musical, to the McGinn/Cazale Theatre at 2162 Broadway from November 16th - January 5th, 2014. The show, with book and lyrics by Susan DiLallo, music by Ben Morss, and direction and choreography by Sam Viverito, is based on the famous dancing mouseling and her friends created by Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig. Angelina and her friends will return to the Vital stage with a special 'red carpet' press opening on November 16th. Performances continue November 17 through January 5th on Selected Saturdays and Sundays at 3:30 pm.

Gideon Productions (NYIT Outstanding Premiere Production of a Play Award for Advance Man) will present the World Premiere of playwright Mac Rogers' (The Honeycomb Trilogy; Viral) modern horror story FRANKENSTEIN UPSTAIRS, June 14-30 at The Secret Theatre (44 02 23rd Street, Long Island City). The production will be directed by Jordana Williams (The Honeycomb Trilogy; Viral) and will feature Autumn Dornfeld* (The Graduate on Broadway; Beebo Brinker Chronicles at NYTW), Rob Maitner* (Mr. McQueen in the original cast of Urinetown!), Diana Oh (Rob Askins' P.S. Jones and the Frozen City; Mariah MacCarthy's The Foreplay Play), and Kristen Vaughan* (Amelia in The Honeycomb Trilogy; NYIT Award for Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role for Retro Productions Benefactors). The creative team will include Special Effects by Stephanie Cox-Williams, Costume Design by Amanda Jenks, Sound Design by Jeanne Travis, Lighting Design by Jennifer Linn Wilcox, and Set Design bySandy Yaklin.
