Magenta Giraffe Theatre Company of Detroit will present The Altruists, written by Nicky Silver. The production, directed by Molly McMahon, runs November 11 through December 3, 2011. The Altruists will be presented at 1515 Broadway, Detroit, MI 48226. Tickets are $15-$18, with pay-what-you-can tickets available at all performances. Williamston Theatre announces its production of IT CAME FROM MARS by playwright, Joseph Zettelmaier, running from March 31 to April 18th. MARS is a recipient of the prestigious Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award, which is granted to only a handful of theatres nationwide. This world premiere comedy starred Wayne David Parker, Sandra Birch, Joseph Albright, Jacob Hodgson, Alysia Kolascz and Morgan Chard. It is directed by WT Artistic Director Tony Caselli (A PICASSO).

This Limited Engagement of It Came From Mars begins with a special Wednesday Preview at eight o'clock March 31. The Official Opening Night is Thursday, April 1 with the show scheduled to run through Sunday, April 18. Performances will run Thursday and Friday evenings at eight o'clock, Saturday matinees at three o'clock and evenings at eight o'clock, and Sunday matinees at two o'clock. Please note there will be no performances on Sunday, April 4.
