Company XIV presents a revival of their sexy hit holiday show, NUTCRACKER ROUGE, conceived, directed and choreographed by Drama Desk Award nominee Austin McCormick.

Kathryn Posin Dance Company is honored to have been invited by the 92nd Street Y to be the company that re-opens the fabled 900-seat Kaufman Concert Hall, for years one of New York's major dance venues, re-opening after a long closure.  Performances will take place February 11 & 12, 2016 on the stage that has seen many early performances by the companies of Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham, Paul Taylor, Alvin Ailey and, in 1967, the choreographic debut of Kathryn Posin.  The invitation is a result of the success of the KPCD's 2014 season at the 92nd Street Y's Buttenweiser Hall, 'Voices of Bulgaria and America,' which sold out and was live-streamed to 54 countries.

This fall, the Arts in Education Program (AIE) at Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) will present world-renowned photographer Michael Childers' exhibition Author, Author: A Photographic Retrospective of Authors, Playwrights, and Screenwriters (October 29 - November 20, 2015) at the Monroe C. Gutman Library Gallery at Harvard University, 6 Appian Way, Cambridge, MA.

Each year Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater generously dedicates one night of its New York City Center (131 West 55th Street) season (Dec 2 - Jan 3) to benefit Dancers Responding to AIDS. Join us Thursday, December 17, when a portion of all ticket sales benefit Dancers Responding to AIDS.

Garden Theatre presents Orlando Ballet's SLEEPING BEAUTY today, November 14, 2015 at 2pm and tomorrow, November 15 at 2pm as part of the Garden Theatre's 2015-2016 Live Season.

Enchanting generations of wide-eyed children and adults alike, New York City Ballet's dazzling production of George Balanchine's THE NUTCRACKER plays to sold-out houses each holiday season in New York. Now audiences across the country will have the opportunity to enjoy the timeless tale set to Tschaikovsky's memorable music when it comes to movie screens nationwide for two screenings: Saturday, December 5 at 12:55 pm and Thursday, December 10 at 7:00 pm, as a presentation of Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance. Featured in the cast are ON THE TOWN star Megan Fairchild as the Sugarplum Fairy, with Joaquin De Luz as Her Cavalier and Ashley Bouder as Dewdrop.

Renowned dancers and choreographers will teach master classes at the Ailey Extension in conjunction with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's New York City Center season (December 2 – January 3).

Celebrating its 45th anniversary as America's premier Latino dance company, Ballet Hispanico will be seen in performance in movie theaters nationwide tonight, November 12 at 7:00 pm (local time), as the third program of the Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance series.

Continuing its work to cultivate South Florida's dance community, Broward Cultural Division, in partnership with the Nova Southeastern University, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Performing and Visual Arts, launches its Broward Dance Coalition Initiative with a high-powered, inspirational experience with the renowned Dr. Rennie Harris.

FirstWorks kicks off the 2015-2016 season with a week-long residency by the vibrant Los Angeles-based, multimedia performance art troupe Cloud Eye Control.

On December 2nd, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will kick off a five-week holiday season with a star-studded gala benefit including a performance at New York City Center and party at the New York Hilton Midtown Grand Ballroom. This year's gala will honor BNY Mellon for its major support of The Ailey Organization since 2007 and Agnes & Gerald Hassell will accept on the institution's behalf. The launch of MY STORY, MY DANCE: Robert Battle's Journey to Alvin Ailey, the moving children's picture book from Simon & Schuster, was celebrated at The Ailey Studios on October 29th through reading, dancing and discussion.  Artistic Director Robert Battle was joined by author and illustrator couple Lesa Cline-Ransomeand James E. Ransome, who spoke about their personal connection to Ailey and their special roles in creating this heart-warming picture book biography.  Mr. Battle recounted how seeing Revelations for the first time as a boy in Miami set him on a path to achieve his goals.  "Having experienced first-hand the transformative power of the Ailey legacy, I'm honored by the creation of this book based upon my life," stated Battle, "It's so meaningful to know that this moving story will inspire the next generation of students to dream big and reach high."  Students from The Ailey School listened intently when Mr. Battle read from the book and beamed as they brought to life an excerpt from Alvin Ailey's masterpiece.  The students asked questions and soaked up Mr. Battle's wise and witty advice to stay focused, keep dreaming and dancing diligently, and to remember that if a boy with leg braces can grow up to be a dancer and choreographer, then they can accomplish anything.  Check out the photos of the book launch below!

The Dallas Black Dance Theatre will present the company premiere of Margo Sappington's Step Out Of Love on November 6, 7 and 8, 2015 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in Dallas, Texas.

Two world premieres, one by the “Lion King,” Tony Award-winning choreographer Garth Fagan and the other by Fagan's muse, rehearsal director and “Bessie Award” winner Norwood Pennewell, are among the highlights of Garth Fagan Dance's 45th anniversary celebration that takes place at The Joyce Theater, November 3-8.

REVERBdance Festival celebrates its 10th year of presenting a stimulating variety of works by both seasoned and emerging contemporary dance artists, including dance theater choreography, solo performers, and dance companies.  The dancers and choreographers hail from around the U.S., South Africa, London, and Japan.  Four performances, November 6-8 at Baruch P.A. Center.
