The Auditorium Theatre presents its annual King Holiday celebration performances of Too Hot to Handel: The Jazz-Gospel Messiah today, January 16 and tomorrow, January 17, 2016.

Four series have been newly-added to the programming lineup of free events at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center: The History of the World in 100 Performances with Adam Gopnik, and three series curated and produced by Award-winning theater directors Lonny Price and Matt Cowart: LC Dialogues, LC Originals, and Late Nights at the Atrium.

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of three extraordinary voices and game-changing innovators as Artistic Advisers award-winning tap dancer and choreographer Savion Glover (pictured, left), America's preeminent jazz bassist, Christian McBride, and nationally acclaimed poet Patricia Smith.  

Elisa Monte Dance, an emotionally charged and highly acclaimed dance company that champions individuality, announces its 35th anniversary season and gala, March 2-5, at City College Center for the Arts' Aaron Davis Hall. The season pays tribute to the company's eponymous director who will present the world premiere of Pangaea. The season will also foreshadow the future artistic vision of the company with two world premieres by Tiffany Rea-Fisher, who will take over as artistic director at the close of the 2015-16 celebratory season. Rea-Fisher will premiere Newton's Cradle and Current and also return to the stage for a special solo performance of Monte's signature work Run to the Rock. Rea-Fisher, who retired from performing with the company in 2010, is among another 20 alumni who return for a tribute alumni finale of Shattered, a high-speed work first performed at the Joyce Theater in 2000.

The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) will present 'Black Dance Rising,' its 28th Annual International Conference and Festival of Blacks In Dance, January 20-24, 2016. Hosted by Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, the event will bring together the dance world's elite and emerging in celebration of dance from the African Diaspora, as well as provide educational and professional development opportunities.

Led by Artistic Director Robert Battle, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (#AileyKenCen) makes its annual Kennedy Center appearance with seven performances in the Kennedy Center Opera House, February 2-7, 2016. The Company returns to the Kennedy Center with two company premieres, three D.C. debuts, including Robert Battle's first world premiere since becoming artistic director in 2011, and a total of 11 works by a diverse range of choreographers. Alvin Ailey's American masterpiece Revelations will provide the finale for all five programs.

Company XIV presents an adult only world premiere of SNOW WHITE, conceived, directed and choreographed by Drama Desk Award nominee Austin McCormick.

Witness ballet as you've never seen it before - complete with dancers at the height of physical perfection and professional poise - when COMPLEXIONS CONTEMPORARY DANCE comes to Wharton Center this winter. Part of the Dance Series at Wharton Center, this stellar performance will be featured on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, in the Cobb Great Hall.

The Sixth Annual Clive Barnes Awards for Theatre and Dance will be held this afternoon, January 11, at 3 p.m. at The Walter Reade Theatre, Lincoln Center. One recipient from each category will be chosen and the winners announced today. All finalists will receive a cash prize, with the winners in each category receiving an award of $5,000.

NOW. is a multimedia / performance / installation event directed and choreographed by Pat Catterson in collaboration with dance media artist Paul Galando and presented by NYU Tisch Dance and New Media Department on Saturday and Sunday, January 30 & 31, 2016 at 12 Noon. This immersive performance captures dancers in single moments in time and place performing simultaneously both in real and virtual time.

For the first time in its distinguished history, the World Music Institute's Masters of Indian Music series presents India's violin icon L. SUBRAMANIAM, revered around the world as "The Paganini of Indian Classical music." Chris Alloways-Ramsey began his early training with Barbara (Olewine) Wouters, later completing his classical training with Mira Popovich and Dame Sonia Arova. He attended summer programs on full merit scholarships at Kirov Academy, School of American Ballet, Houston Ballet Academy, and San Francisco Ballet. Her graduated from high school at North Carolina School of the Arts with a focus in Ballet and received his A.L.B, cum laude, from Harvard University in 2003.

There was an explosion of talented dancers on stage at City Center on December 22, 2015. The energy was high. The dancers lit up the audience so that at the end of each piece, the outburst of applause and yells came from them. It was thrilling for everyone in the theater.

Though he's a familiar face among New York's performing artists, what William Wade did before arriving in Gotham provides a fascinating story.

On Christmas Day, Lincoln Center will share the warmth of the holiday season when it brings New York City Ballet's exquisite production of George Balanchine's THE NUTCRACKER to approximately 400,000 members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families serving abroad in 175 countries and U.S. territories, via AFN, the American Forces Network.
