New York Theatre Workshop has announced the playwrights and directors selected for the 2022/23 Season 2050 Artistic Fellowship. The 2022/23 Artistic Fellows are Miranda Cornell, Thaddeus McCants, Aileen Wen McGroddy, Attilio Rigotti, Andrew Rodriguez and Minghao Tu.

Jen Shyu Will Give World Premiere Of Her Solo Dramatic Work ZERO GRASSES At National Sawdust

Known for groundbreaking performances that bridge a variety of genres and cultural traditions, Jen Shyu (pronounced 'shoe') returns to National Sawdust to give the world premiere of her multilingual, multimedia monodrama ZERO GRASSES on Wednesday, October 30, at 7:00 p.m. The work was commissioned by John Zorn, who invited Ms. Shyu to compose a new work for his series at National Sawdust in celebration of The Stone, his revolutionary venue dedicated to the experimental and avant-garde. This premiere reunites her with Romanian director Alexandru Mihail, who also directed her acclaimed one-woman show Nine Doors, which premiered at National Sawdust in 2017 and was reprised at last year's Resonant Bodies Festival.

THE WHITE DRESS, written by Roger Q. Mason and directed and choreographed by Adin Walker will have a limited engagement Summer run, July 5-20 at the Access Theater, 380 Broadway. Based on the playwright's true-life experience, this is a genderqueer coming-of-age tale for the they/them generation.

Art House Productions is proud to announce its winter mainstage production of Allison Gregory's Not Medea, directed by Adin Walker. Performances run, December 6,7,8, 13, 14, 15 at 8:00pm, and Sundays, December 9 and 16 at 3:00pm for a total of eight performances, with ASL and Audio Interpretation at the Friday, December 14th performance. Beginning at 6:30pm prior to the December 14th performance, the Art House Access Committee will host a free mixer for artists with and without disabilities. Wine and hors d'oeuvres included. In concurrence with Not Medea, the Art House Gallery will be open for its inaugural Affordable Art Show featuring over 75 fine art pieces all selling for $500 and under. PIN* AND THE BLUE FAIRY is a new play in development with OUTLIERS Theatre Co, based on Collodi's classic The Adventures of Pinocchio. The play examines the wooden puppet's journey to become a proper boy through the eyes of a contemporary trans teenager named Blue. As Blue attempts to find their own path, they turn to Pin's tale, and their stories intertwine in a search for understanding, transformation, and personal truth.
