America's Got Talent Announces Open Casting Calls Begin

NBC's top-rated summer series 'America's Got Talent' will begin its nationwide search for season seven contestants with auditions beginning in New York (October 8 and 9), St. Louis (October 22 and 23) and in Washington, D.C. (November 5 and 6).

Theatre Development Fund (TDF), the nation's largest not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts has been named as one of the six awardees of the 2011 Mayor's Award for Arts and Culture. The award will be presented by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Alec Baldwin in a ceremony at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center on Tuesday, November 1 at 6pm. The event will feature live performances by leading performing arts organizations, and appearances by special guest artists.

The Town Hall, New York's landmark theatre and concert venue, is pleased to announce additional casting for BROADWAY ORIGINALS! on Sunday, October 16nd at 3PM. The matinee is part of The Town Hall's Seventh Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival, which is now being presented In a new format of three consecutive weeks. The additional two evenings are Elaine Stritch At The Town Hall on Saturday, October 22nd and A Tribute To Judy Garland and Gene Kelly on Friday, October 28th, all created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel.

Joe Sib is excited to return to New York City and The Bowery Electric (327 Bowery) on October 13th, 2011 for this intimate, one-night-only performance of California Calling. The one-man show is based on Sib's story of growing up in the early 1980's when the counterculture of skateboarding and punk rock hit the suburbs of California. Sib animates his verbal autobiography with 70+ photographs and limitless enthusiasm. It's a universal and classic story about how music has the power to shape and define lives.

Jeremy Woodard to Take on Stacee Jaxx in ROCK OF AGES, 10/3

Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES announced today that Jeremy Woodard will officially take over the role of 'Stacee Jaxx' on Monday, October 3, 2011. Woodard has understudied the role since performances began on Broadway on Tuesday, March 17, 2009. In addition to ROCK OF AGES, Woodard's theatre credits include Glory Days, Hairspray, and Miss Saigon. MiG Ayesa, who has performed the role of 'Stacee Jaxx' since ROCK OF AGES moved to the Helen Hayes Theatre on March 24, 2011, will play his final performance on Sunday, September 25. During the interim week, the role will be covered by an understudy.

On Thursday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall, the Carnegie Hall Notables-a membership and ticket program for music enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s-will host Love Letters, a performance of contemporary American playwright A. R. Gurney's work. Celebrated soprano Renée Fleming and award-winning actor Alec Baldwin will perform the piece as directed by Mark Lamos with executive producer Susan Q. Gallin. After the exclusive event, the Notables will gather at Providence for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, with music by Paul D. Miller, aka DJ Spooky.
