Take a magical carpet ride to the Southern Utah desert when Tuacahn becomes an Arabian oasis in this new stage adaptation of the beloved Disney film. Tuacahn's production is directed by Scott S. Anderson and choreographed by Deanna Dys. The show runs now through August 31 and September 3-October 19, 2012 at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre in Ivins, Utah. In her third Feinstein's engagement, MAC & Bistro Award winner and Broadway's Raissa Katona Bennett (Christine in "Phantom of the Opera") celebrates the release of her latest CD, Another Kind of Light. The concert version of the album premieres Tuesday August 21 at 8pm, playing five shows through August 25.

Disney's The Little Mermaid, the hit Broadway musical based on the popular animated film, opened July 10 at Wells Fargo Pavilion for a two-week run through July 22. What's it like to write your first play after all those musicals?

When you're dealing with a musical version of a classic like 'The Little Mermaid,' it becomes nearly impossible to botch a show enough to give viewers reason to hate it. You still have all the popular songs that everyone loves to sing along with (including one adorable little girl sitting in the back on opening night), and you have the iconic characters that we all love so much. Still, for avid fans of the movie or those who had complaints about the Broadway version of 'Mermaid,' the Sacramento Music Circus production of 'The Little Mermaid' doesn't quite live up to the hype.
