Tonight at The Peabody Hotel, The Orpheum Theatre will pull out all the stops for the can't miss event of the season, the 'Hockadoo Hullabaloo', celebrating the international tour launch of the Tony Award winning MEMPHIS and arrival of the show's producers, cast, and creative team.

Celebrated actor and stand-up comedian Cedric the Entertainer will host the 3rd annual Soul Train Awards, taping at the iconic Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA on Thursday, November 17 and premiering on both Centric and BET in a special simulcast at 9:00 PM* ET on Sunday, November 27.

CAPA presents the David Sanborn Trio featuring Joey DeFrancesco and Byron Landham at 8pm on Sunday, October 2, at the Southern Theatre (21 E. Main St.).

Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's Professional Theatre Company, is pleased to announce the 25th Anniversary MainStage Season. Between November 2011 and May 2012, MTC MainStage will present three fully-staged professional productions, each running for three weeks: 'Cabaret,' 'Almost, Maine' and 'I Left My Heart: A Salute to the Music of Tony Bennett.' Performances will take place in the one-of-a-kind Off-Broadway-style 50-seat studio, providing the audience with an intimate theatregoing experience. La Jolla Playhouse presents a new adaptation of Sleeping Beauty Wakes, book by Tony Award-winning librettist Rachel Sheinkin (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), with a score by composer Brendan Milburn and lyricist Valerie Vigoda, both of the acclaimed trio GrooveLily (Striking 12, Long Story Short), and directed by Rebecca Taichman, who will also direct the Playhouse's 2011/12 world premiere of Milk Like Sugar.

A free matinee performance of The Word Begins for up to 100 young, artists and organizers from all over Los Angeles and Sylmar will be offered on Thursday, July 21st.
