The 2021 “European Month of Culture NYC,” produced by Origin Theatre Company in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, is restarting this month with a series of play readings and panel talks involving playwrights, producers and cultural organizations from New York, Romania, Ireland, Spain, Greece, and more.  

BETWEEN THE SEAS is thrilled to announce the 2019 line up for its festival celebrating Mediterranean performance. BETWEEN THE SEAS runs from Thursday, May 16 - Sunday, May 19. The performance schedule is Thursday - Friday at 8 PM; Saturday and Sunday at 5 PM & 8 PM. Kairos Italy Theater (KIT), the preeminent Italian theater company in New York, has finalized the calendar of events for the third annual IN SCENA! ITALIAN THEATER FESTIVAL NY.

Between the Seas, New York City's only international Mediterranean performing arts festival, is currently accepting submissions for its 5th edition, scheduled to take place in Manhattan's Wild Project theater, from Sept 7-13 in 2015. Artists of the Mediterranean and Mediterranean diaspora as well as artists with a working interest in the region are invited to apply.

The improbable 90-year history of New York City Center, the Moorish Revival theater on West 55th Street that is home to Fall for Dance and Encores!, is the inspiration for Women's Project Theater's second production of the season. The Architecture of Becoming is the creation of five playwrights and three directors who have intertwined secret societies, silent films, raucous parties, and the greatest performers of our time with five fictional lives woven through the dynamic history of this great landmark.

TO MAKE JUST ONE PERSON HAPPY, a collection of short plays by Ernio Hernandex, will receive its first NYC reading running through February 7th at Theatre at TAXI. The production, performed as a staged reading, contains two monologues and two short plays. Hernandez will also include a scene from an additional play he is currently working on.
