Written by young poet Raul Herrera, adapted by Diane Luby Lane and directed by Cynthia Ettinger, DANTE will begin with 2 previews, July 6 and 7, and will continue for 10 performances only, July 8 - July 29, 2017.

The Actors' Gang's new musical production of Harlequino: On to Freedom will have its U.S. Premiere on March 25, as part of the theater's 2017 Spring Season of Justice. Written and directed by Tim Robbins, Harlequino: On to Freedom is a raucous celebration of the rebel slave, Harlequino.

The Actors' Gang's new musical production of Harlequino: On to Freedom will have its U.S. Premiere in March, as part of the theater's 2017 Spring Season of Justice. Written and directed by Tim Robbins, the new musical combines Commedia dell'Arte, Shakespearean tragedy, live music and sophisticated comedy to produce a dialectic on the meaning of freedom.  The musical had its European Premiere at the Spoleto Festival, in Italy, and it subsequently toured to Shanghai and Beijing where it was censored by government officials.  Harlequino: On to Freedom begins previews Thursday, March 16, opens onSaturday, March 18 and runs through May 6, 2017, at The Actors' Gang Theatre, in Culver City.

The Actors' Gang Artistic Director Tim Robbins, Executive Director Simon Hannah, and chair of the Board, Collette Brooks proudly announce the addition of two new members to The Actors' Gang Board of Directors since January 2017. The newly elected board members are Billie C. Greer and Malissa Feruzzi Shriver.

The Actors' Gang will begin 2017 with a one night only special event, featuring Sister Helen Prejean, (Dead Man Walking: An Eyewitness Account of the Death Penalty), and The Actors Gang Artistic Director Tim Robbins. The event is the first of Actors' Gang Axis Mundi 2017 season, a series of speaking events, lectures and documentaries intent on encouraging civic engagement and public dialogue. All Actors' Gang Axis Mundi evenings will be presented as " Pay What You Can Nights", a platform developed with the purpose of making performances accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic status.

The Actors' Gang's Artistic Director Tim Robbins deftly directs his extremely talented cast as they fluidly impart the Orwellian tale of total Big Brother domination in ORWELL'S 1984. Originally viewed as sci-fi when written back in 1949, ORWELL'S 1984 complements as a fitting addition to The Actors' Gang's current Season of Justice. Michael Gene Sullivan has ever so smartly adapted George Orwell's novel into the present 21st century.

For a month this summer, The Actors' Gang, the renowned Los Angeles based ensemble theatre company, will perform A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Actors' Gang Theater in Culver City. The Actors' Gang, the critically acclaimed Los Angeles based ensemble Theatre Company, will be heading overseas bringing William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Academy Award winner Tim Robbins, to international audiences. The production will put on six performances in Beijing, China, June 10th - 15th at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, four performances in Shanghai, China, June 19th - 21st at the Daguan Theatre, Zendai Himalayas Art Center and four to six performances in Italy, June 28th - July 6th at the prestigious Spoleto Festival.

The Actors' Gang presents its new counter-programming Axis Mundi Series, a year-round program of arts and culture events, on Monday and Tuesday evenings beginning Monday, November 1.
