Bone Sorrow, a trio of dark surrealist dramas presented by a diverse cast of performers, will premiere as part of Fertile Ground Festival 2024 on April 18 and 21, at Chapel Theatre in Milwaukie.

For its 70th anniversary season, Lakewood Theatre Company in Lake Oswego, Oregon will be presenting a reprise of the first show ever done by the company; the classic comedy Blithe Spirit by Sir Noël Coward. Filled with witty repartee, the play is a spirited farce about a British novelist whose home is haunted by a mischievous ghost. 

The Canon Shakespeare Company is proud to present its production of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS at Portland's Twilight Theatre, from April 29 through May 8. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, a delightful family story about the true meaning of Christmas, will open at the Lakewood Theatre Company on Friday, December 13 at 7:30 PM. Performances continue on December 14, 15,  and 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22 at 7:30 PM. There will also be matinee performances at 2:00 PM on Sunday Dec. 15, Saturday Dec. 21 and Sunday Dec. 22. After the opening night performance on Dec. 13, there will be a hot cocoa and cookie reception. 

The Pear Theatre tradition of non-traditional holiday fare continues with the world premiere of "Girls Kill Nazis" by James Kopp, a fun and topical romp designed to perfectly balance your Thanksgiving dinner. "Girls Kill Nazis," directed by John Morrison, previews on November 8, with press and Opening Night on Friday, November 9 (followed by a champagne gala). The show runs Thursdays through Sundays through December 2 (no performances Thursday or Friday of Thanksgiving week). In The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence, playwright Madeline George weaves together the tale of three historical Watsons in this time-jumping tribute to genius. There's Watson, the trusty sidekick to Sherlock Holmes, Watson, the loyal engineer who helped Alexander Graham Bell build the telephone, and Watson, the IBM supercomputer created to beat the Jeopardy! All-Stars in 2011. Woven into a tale with Watson, a present day geek looking for love, the result is a story that examines the technological advancements that both bring people together and tear them apart. A 2014 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.

Stanford philosopher and bioethicist Karola Kreitmair, with generous assistance from the Medicine and Muse program, will present her drama "Homo Ex Machina" at Stanford's Prosser Studio for one weekend only, May 3 through 6. "Homo Ex Machina" explores the effects of human ethics, desire, and fallibility on the fast-developing world of medical neurostimulator implants. Pear Theatre opens its 16th season with Sarah Ruhl's funny and insightful "In the Next Room, or, the Vibrator Play." Set at the dawn of the age of electricity, this comedy explores how women's issues are addressed in a patriarchal society that rarely gives them credence or consideration. "In the Next Room" is directed by Caroline Clark, and previews on September 7. Press and Opening Night is Friday, September 8, followed by a champagne gala. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays, through October 1.
