RLJE Films, a brand of RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE), has acquired all U.S. rights to the drama Galveston, which premiered at this year's SXSW Film Festival and has just been announced as part of the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Based on the novel “Galveston” by “True Detective” creator Nic Pizzolatto, the film was directed by Mélanie Laurent (Breathe), written by Jim Hammett and stars Ben Foster (Hell or High Water), Elle Fanning (The Beguiled), Lili Reinhart (“Riverdale”), and Beau Bridges (“Homeland”). Tyler Davidson (Take Shelter) produced the film, with his company Low Spark Films providing sole financing and production services. RLJE Films plans to release Galveston in theaters this Fall.

The Performance Garage announces its new residency program, the Dr. RJ Wallner DanceVisions Residency, and its inaugural awardee, Nora Gibson Contemporary Ballet. The program was designed by Executive Director Jeanne Ruddy in order to support a Philadelphia dance artist who exhibits exceptional talent. It provides the selected artist with rehearsal space, technical and marketing support, professional mentorship, and a performance venue in order to create and premiere new works. The Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans (CAC) is pleased to announce Nufonia Must Fall by Kid Koala will be presented at the CAC for a two-performance run on April 14-15, 2017at 7:30pm as part of the company's spring tour.
