Point Foundation will present five-time Olympic medalist Greg Louganis with the Point Legend Award, which recognizes an individual who has achieved greatness in their professional career and unapologetically supported the LGBTQ community. In addition to the previously announced appearance from the cast of BRIGHT STAR, BroadwayWorld exclusively reported that Tony winner Lena Hall will perform at this evening's special event.

Point Foundation will present five-time Olympic medalist Greg Louganis with the Point Legend Award, which recognizes an individual who has achieved greatness in their professional career and unapologetically supported the LGBTQ community. The award will be presented to Louganis at the landmark New York Public Library April 11. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. BroadwayWorld has just learned that Tony winner Lena Hall will perform at the special event.

Point Foundation (Point) just honored actor Jonathan Groff, with the Point HORIZON Award. The Award recognizes a young trailblazer who has taken a leadership role as an advocate of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. Groff, currently starring in HBO's critically acclaimed series 'Looking' and appearing in the Public Theater's hit musical 'Hamilton,' was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in 'Spring Awakening.' More than 400 guests joined two dozen celebrities and dignitaries at the annual Point Honors gala on April 7, which celebrated the accomplishments of Point Foundation (Point) scholarship recipients. Dr. Neal Baer, the Executive Producer and Showrunner for acclaimed television programs such as 'ER' and 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' and 'Under The Dome,' received the Point Leadership Award, and Lena Dunham, the Golden Globe Winner and Emmy Nominated Actress and Producer of HBO's 'Girls,' accepted the Point Horizon Award.

On Monday night, April 16, 2012, The Point Foundation honored Edward Albee and Focus Features at their fifth annual New York Gala. BroadwayWorld.com was on hand at Pier Sixty to capture the event honoring current and future champions of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community.
