Midsommer Flight's seventh summer of free Shakespeare performances as an Arts Partner in Chicago Park District parks began on Saturday, July 7 in Lincoln Park with THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA. The company's production of Shakespeare's comedy will play two weekends each in four different Chicago parks - through Sunday August 26. The next venue for THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA will be Gross Park, 2708 W. Lawrence Ave., where it will play July 14 and 15 and 21 and 22. The McCallum Theatre presents Simply Three on Wednesday, February 15, at 8:00pm. Since 2010, the electrifying trio of Glen McDaniel (violin), Nick Villalobos (cello), and Zack Clark (bass), together known as Simply Three, has captivated audiences worldwide with high-octane performances. Acclaimed as "having what it takes" (Boston Philharmonic) and "highly imaginative and well played" (Maine Today), Simply Three continues to receive praise for their ability to impress listeners with a multitude of genres that span from Puccini and Gershwin to artists such as Adele, Coldplay, and Michael Jackson. By reshaping convention through this style of genre hopping, the trio seeks the true essence of classical crossover with original works as well as innovative arrangements that showcase their technical virtuosity and heartfelt musicality.

The Runaways Lab and Voice of the City are proud to announce the second offering of their 2016-2017 season, Goddamn Geniuses. This original play, by company member Nathaniel Shane and Artistic Director Gannon Reedy, uses one of the Runaways' staples of reimagining an historic event in a fast and loose piece of theater. Explore the limitations of live entertainment as the heralds of quantum physics launch into a gender blurred reality where anything can happen to a docile scientist.
