The Cabaret Showdown is a game show produced by Sound Street Productions in association with Frigid New York @ Horse Trade since 2011. This unique competition is a mixture of live karaoke and musical improvisation, with a game board. Contestants are asked to choose songs from various categories with no knowledge of what the song will be until 30 seconds before they sing. The winner from each month receives a free one-hour showcase performance at the Kraine Theater. Contestants can register in advance at the official website.

A recipient of DCA's inaugural CreateNYC Disability Forward Fund, IRT Theater will present six work in progress presentations of the new musical, Stepchild. This fully accessible piece is a radical retelling of Cinderella, seen through the eyes of a young Deaf woman coming of age in a kingdom violently intolerant of difference. All presentations will take place at IRT's Greenwich Village home from May 29- June 2, 2019.

Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today that the performance lineup for the sixth annual #giveback concert slated for Sunday, May 13 at 7.30pm at WNYC's The Greene Space (44 Charlton Street) has been updated.  Along with producers Kelly Weaver and Mike Borges, Broadway Unlocked is bringing Broadway favorites together to perform and raise funds for the Crime Victims Treatment Center, a not-for-profit organization committed to helping people heal from violent crime.  The live concert is directed by Nathan Tysen (Tuck Everlasting, Amelie). 

Song bird, Taylor Pearlstein is set to release her debut album, When the Birds Wake You Up. From Seattle to Tuscan, Taylor Pearlstein has been seen on stages all across the country. Musical Theatre Factory, under the direction of Artistic Director Shakina Nayfack presented Discount Ghost Stories' WELL WORN WORDS, a new rock musical with book, music and additional lyrics by Alexander Sage Oyen and book, archival research, and adapted text by Jessica Kahkoska, direction by Austin Regan and musical direction by Luke McGinnis, January 23 at 7pm at the Joe's Pub, 425 Lafayette Street.

Weaved throughout the charming musical romance of Daddy Long Legs, currently on stage at New Brunswick, NJ's George Street Playhouse, are messages promoting the importance of education and the empowerment of young girls and women. So what better way to share those ideals this holiday season then with a special "Daughter Days" package for select performances of Daddy Long Legs December 20, 22 and 24. Daddy Long Legs is appropriate for daughters ages 10 through 100.

With book by two-time Tony Award winner John Caird (Les Miserables, Nicholas Nickleby) and music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon (Jane Eyre), Daddy Long Legs stars Ben Michael as Jervis, the titular "Daddy Long Legs" who anonymously sponsors the college education of Elise Vannerson's Jerusha.
