BWW Reviews: A Brilliantly Ugly PRETTY PRETTY at the Strand


There is anger at the way men perceive women - and abuse, rape, belittle and objectify them. Owen's woman-hating fantasy may not reflect reality, but that doesn't make it harmless. That point can make the show hard to watch at moments, as it wends its way through scenes of imagined rape and murder. But it wouldn't do to look away. There's painful humor at every painful turn.

Wayside Theater Presents COMEDY OF ERRORS 4/17-19


Wayside Theatre Artistic Director Warner Crocker today announced Wayside Theater will present the Shakespeare's 'Comedy of Errors' The second production in the Emerging Artist in Action Program for the 2008-2009 Season will be presented at the Skyline High School in Front Royal, Virginia. 'Comedy of Errors' opens April 17- 19.

THE BUNNY AND THE PIGEON Comes To Wayside Theater 3/11-3/13


The Wayside Theatre 2008-09 Intern Company will be presenting 'The Bunny and the Pigeon' a modern moral-less fable, an original work authored by Vaughn Irving on March 11-13th. The frivolousness of modern life is explored in this new fast paced comedy. Come along for the ride as roommates Will, Helen, and Doug prepare for the dinner party of their lives.

SOUTHERN CROSSROADS Replaces LIES AND LEGENDS At Wayside


Wayside Theatre's Artistic Director Warner Crocker is announcing a change in its 2008/09 Season Schedule. The next production was scheduled to be the musical review, Lies and Legends, the Songs and Stories of Harry Chapin. Instead of this offering, Crocker is programming an original musical piece of country and bluegrass flavor created just for Wayside Theatre called, Southern Crossroads. The production will star local musical sensation, Robbie Limon, and feature many of Wayside Theatre's favorite musical talents who have delighted audiences throughout the last several seasons. The performance is sponsored by Winchester Executive Suites, LLC.
