The 17th Annual Garden State Film Festival's (GSFF) screenings of over 245 independent films from around the globe will include the historical drama feature BLACK 47, which was filmed on location in Ireland and covers a dark, yet compelling period in the country's history. The film will screen on Saturday, March 30that 6:15-8:20 p.m. at the majestic Paramount Theater in Asbury Park.

The Toronto International Film Festival® announced today the 48 titles from international filmmakers that comprise this year's Contemporary World Cinema roster. Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced nominations this morning for the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Eva Mendes and Jeremy Renner served as presenters and 2011 Spirit Awards host Joel McHale was also on hand. Nominees for Best Feature include 127 Hours, Black Swan, Greenberg, The Kids Are All Right and Winter's Bone.
