The nominations for the 8th Annual Indie Series Awards were revealed on Wednesday, February 1. The ISAs celebrate the best in independently produced scripted entertainment created for the Web. Nominations were announced in 29 categories.

A Red Orchid Theatre begins its 2016-2017 Season with The Room by Harold Pinter, directed by Ensemble Member Dadoand featuring Ensemble Members Kirsten Fitzgerald and Mierka Girten. Broadway St. The opening night performance is Monday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. An industry performance is Monday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. Single tickets are currently on sale for $15 for preview performances, $50 for the Board Preview performance that includes appetizers, open bar and a reception immediately following the production, and $28 for the regular run. The Emails, Journals and Creative Writings of 9/11, which features writings from many Broadway and arts professionals is set to be released on January 15th by Library Tales Publishing and will be carried at Theatre Circle, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon.com among others.

The Lifeline Storytelling Project (LSP) produces monthly live music & storytelling events designed to develop and showcase young artists affiliated with Lifeline Theatre. Since its creation in 2011 by Lifeline Theatre Artistic DirectorDorothy Milne, LSP has sought to play an active part in the growth of the Chicago storytelling and Live Lit scene.
