The Film Society of Lincoln Center announces the Retrospective section of the 54th New York Film Festival (September 30 – October 16), a two-part lineup headlined and inspired by Bertrand Tavernier's magnificent epic documentary My Journey Through French Cinema

Louis Jourdan, a French actor famous for American film and television appearances in the Oscar-winning musical GIGI, MADAME BOVARY, CAN-CAN, and THE FIRST OLYMPICS: ATHENS, 1896, as well as Broadway appearances in shows such as ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER, has died. The Hollywood Walk of Fame winner was 93.

At the 65th Berlin International Film Festival, director Marcel Ophüls will be awarded the Berlinale Camera.
