The winners of the ninth annual JIMMY® AWARDS were determined and announced on Monday night, Monday, June 26, 2017, at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. This life-changing event was hosted by 2017 Tony Award® winner Ben Platt, currently starring on Broadway in Dear Evan Hansen.

Time is precious on the road to the Jimmy Awards, and no time was wasted on Day 2 as John and Shelby hit the ground running at 7:30am. Their first full day included vocal rehearsal, dancing, a costume parade, surprise guests and some really good news! John and Shelby were both selected to be in the medley group for the Jimmy Awards. In addition, Shelby will be working with Broadway Director, Schele Kleinberger and John will be coached by Broadway veteran, Michael McElroy. Looks like their week is off to a great start!

It's that time of year again! DSM's High School Musical Theatre Award-winning Best Actor and Actress, John Fredrickson and Shelby Priddy, are off to New York City to compete in the 2017 National High School Musical Theatre Awards (NHSMTA)! John and Shelby will participate in a week-long training intensive with Broadway industry professionals and faculty members of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, in preparation for their Broadway debut on Monday, June 26th at the Minskoff Theatre.

THE JIMMY AWARDS have announced that 74 high school students from across America will compete for the award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress as well as other honors and scholarships at the ninth annual awards ceremony. The presentation will take place on Monday, June 26th at 7:30PM at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan.

THE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE AWARDS (NHSMTA)/JIMMY AWARDS has announced that 62 high school students from across America will compete for the Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress at the eighth annual awards ceremony. The presentation will take place on Monday, June 27th at 7:30PM at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan.
