On Monday, February 20th, The Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture, The Lion King, and Garth Fagan Dance celebrated the show's Tony, Olivier, and Helpmann Award-winning choreographer and founder of Garth Fagan Dance, Garth Fagan, the longest-running Black choreographer in Broadway history.

Beyond the Mirror began in the Afghan refugee camps in northern Pakistan in 2002. Members of Bond Street Theatre, performing for children in the refugee schools, met a dauntless group of Afghan actors who dared to present live theatre despite the restrictions of the times. This group was Exile Theatre.

Bond Street Theatre of USA and Exile Theatre of Afghanistan bring their ground-breaking collaboration Beyond the Mirror to Brava! for Women in the Arts in San Francisco, October 1-12th, co-produced by Brava! for Women in the Arts.

Beyond the Mirror, a show which is the first theatrical collaboration between the US and Afghanistan, will run in New York from November 20th through December 4th
