Why, the buoyant musical confection LYSISTRATA JONES, of course! Filled with witty dialogue, amusingly droll characters, and a high-energy pop score, this Tony nominated musical continues its West Coast Premiere performances at Chance Theater's brand-spankin' new theater space in Anaheim Hills through March 9.

Chance Theater presents the first show of its 16th Anniversary Season - the hilarious modern musical adaptation of Aristophanes' classic comedy, Lysistrata Jones, with music by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane, music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn, and direction by Kari Hayter. The award-winning, professional San Diego Musical Theatre (SDMT) produces the critically-acclaimed Broadway rock opera "Rent" June 22 - July 8 at its new home, the beautifully restored Birch North Park Theatre. Actress Gwen Stewart, from the original Broadway and touring productions of "Rent," will reprise the role she created, Mrs. Jefferson, introducing the solo vocals for the musical's central theme song, "Seasons of Love."
