George Cartwright BIO

George has been singing, dancing and performing since age 5 and have won many prestigious prizes in competitions and exams. He has twice been awarded the Trinity College London Medal for most outstanding exam results for Speech and Drama and Individual Acting Skills and was also selected for The Australian Ballet School's Interstate Student Programme and full time entry. In 2011, he received an Australia Day Award for outstanding contribution to the arts (Junior Recipient) and was also awarded a Bursary by Boyne Smelters Ltd for Most Outstanding Vocalist.
He is proficient at singing, dancing (ballet, tap, broadway jazz, contemporary) and acting.
Most recently, George has been cast in the role of 'Young Zack' in the upcoming world premiere of 'An Officer and a Gentleman' in Sydney, Australia.

I have been active in many Pro/Am productions produced by the Gladstone Entertainment Centre and the Young Dancers Company of Central Queensland as well as numerous professional productions.

Roulette Presents Bill Horvitz Expanded Band CD THE LONG WALK Tonight

Roulette presents the 17-piece The Bill Horvitz Expanded Band performing music from the new CD, The Long Walk, a suite of pieces composed as a tribute to Bill's brother Philip Horvitz, who passed away of heart failure in 2005 at the age of 44. The music includes a wide range of styles drawing on jazz, funk, folk, and new music. The concert is set for tonight, June 30, 2013 at 6 p.m.

Full LOVE NEVER DIES Cast Announced

The full cast for the Australian debut of Andrew Lloyd Webber's LOVE NEVER DIES has been announced. Sharon Millerchip will reprise the role of Meg Giry, a part she originally created for the Australian premiere of The Phantom of the Opera in Melbourne. Sharon is no stranger to playing strong-sassy women in musical theatre, having portrayed both Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly in Chicago (winning Helpmann Awards for both), Anita in West Side Story, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and Charity Hope Valentine in Sweet Charity.
