Meet your new friend in quarantine! Beginning this September, BPA launches the Bainbridge Pod Accomplice, a free podcast featuring a regular series of different plays starring your favorite local performers and directors.

In its eighth iteration, Island Theatre brings to the stage ten of the best short plays penned by Kitsap County playwrights for a three day festival of live performances at Bainbridge Performing Arts. The plays have been selected from over sixty submissions by a blind judging panel of theatre professionals. Plays will be helmed by ten local directors and cast with over two dozen local actors.

One of the Bard's most popular romantic tragedies, ROMEO & JULIET centers on a long feud between the Montague and Capulet families that disrupts the city of Verona and causes tragic results for Romeo and Juliet. Revenge, love, and a secret marriage force the young star-crossed lovers to grow up quickly - and fate causes them to take their own lives in despair.

Ten original plays. Three shows. Two days. Island Theatre presents its Sixth Annual Ten-Minute Play Festival featuring local playwrights at Bainbridge Performing Arts on August 18 and 19. Out of 57 submissions from established and emerging Kitsap County playwrights, ten were selected by a jury of theatre professionals for production by Island Theatre directors and actors: "Bloody Mary" by Aleks Merilo, "Flight of the Valkyrie" by Noah Barfield, "Gel Us" by Paige Zubel, "Jellyfish Apocalypse" by Karen Polinsky, "Lessons Learned" by Jenny Weaver, "Memories of an American Occupation" by Paul Lewis, "Moving On" by Caroline Smith, "Of a Feather" by Wendy Wallace, "Roadsides" by Betsy Dorfman, and "Spreadsheet Me" by Jeffrey Brown.

Island Theatre's annual Ten-Minute Play Festival presents sixteen works by local playwrights over two evenings, August 23 and 24 at Bainbridge Performing Arts. Eight plays will be performed on Saturday evening, and the other eight will be performed on Sunday evening. Festival goers will be invited to vote for an audience choice award for each night. In addition, an overall festival favorite, determined by the judges, will be awarded a cash prize at the end of the festival on Sunday night.
