Bob Ader BIO

Bob Ader started his professional career under his birth name of Robert Ader at the age of 7 in the Pre - B'way production of John Patrick's play Juniper And The Pagans, starring David Wayne and directed by renowned director and Actors Studio founder, Bobby Lewis. The following year he made his official Broadway debut in the Drama Critics Circle Award and Pulitzer Prize winning play, All The Way Home, directed by Arthur Penn and starring Colleen Dewhurst, Arthur Hill, Aline McMahon, and Lillian Gish. Following that, he worked with Mike Nichols in Elaine May's Pre _ B'way play, A Matter Of Position. He has also worked with Judy Garland in 1967 in a concert presented at The Felt Forum of Madison Square Garden. On television he has done such shows as Car 54, The Defenders, Unsolved Mysteries, Saturday Night Live, Late Show with David Letterman, Law & Order and Criminal Intent , Onion News on IFC, and most recently played the role of a Jeweller in an episode of Red Oaks for Amazon TV. On Film he has been in such films as as Just For The Time Being, and It's Complicated. In 2012 he appeared in the Drama Desk nominated revival of The Golden Land for The Folksbiene Yiddish Theatre. Prior to that he performed multiple roles in Shlemiel The First presented By TFANA and directed by David Gordon. Bob has also performed a full length one man variety show based on his long and varied career in show business. The show was called Fifty Years In The Business. Since then, he has. appeared in the role of Val in Laughter On The 23rd Floor for Flat Rock Playhouse in North Carolina, reprised his role of Oppenheimer in The Golden land in a special production in Vienna, Austria. He once again worked with NYTF in two productions of The Golden Bride, and also appeared in the role of Heathersett in the fall of 2016 in Me And My Girl at Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Florida.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA Star Joins Cast of Off-Broadway's THE GOLDEN BRIDE


Rachel Zatcoff (coming directly from a run as Christine in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway) has joined the cast of THE GOLDEN BRIDE (Di Goldene Kale), which returns for a limited Off-Broadway engagement beginning July 4th. As originally presented by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene [NYTF] in December of 2015, the production was nominated for 2 Drama Desk Awards including Outstanding Revival of a Musical. Featuring a cast of 20 and an orchestra of 14, this rare glimpse back into musical theater history will run through August 28 at The Museum of Jewish Heritage's Edmond J. Safra Hall.

Off-Broadway's GOLDEN BRIDE to Offer Free Bus Service


Campus Coach Lines has announced its plan for a new free-to-the-public bus service from Columbus Circle in Midtown Manhattan to the Museum of Jewish Heritage [MJH] in Battery Park City.
