15 years ago a there was a miracle: Marliss was diagnosed with terminal cancer, but she survived. Now, she has cancer again, and this time she’s losing the battle. Sarah (a microbiologist) and Carl (a wannabe witch) return home and join their father Gayle (a wannabe Floridian) to care for Marliss during her last days. But Carl wants another miracle, and is determined to make one happen, even if it means sacrificing the family dog. How to Die in Spanish examines how we deal, and avoid dealing, with death.
