Out of the Box Theatrics Stages THE OWL AND THE PUSSYCAT

The new Off-Broadway company Out of the Box Theatrics, currently in its first full season, presents Bill Manhoff's The Owl and the Pussycat.

Joe Barros will direct a cast that includes Liz Flemming as Doris and Nathaniel J Ryan as Felix. Featuring costume design by Hunter Dowell. Alicia Krakauer will serve as Production Stage Manager.

All 2017 OOTB performances take place at Alice's Tea Cup Chapter III located at 220 E. 81st St. Opening tonight, July 12, performances continue through July 17. In a San Francisco loft, aspiring author Felix focuses his binoculars on a prostitute plying her trade. He complains to the landlord, has her evicted, and finds he has trouble pounding on his door in the form of Doris, not a prostitute but an aspiring "model and actress", thank you very much. She figures he owes her a bed for the night, an arrangement that leads to hilarity. Alan Alda and Diana Sands took the roles on Broadway, George Segal and Barbra Streisand on film.
