Pushcart Players Bring 'Once Upon a Time' Tales to The Alden, 5/4

Pushcart Player'sproduction of "Red Riding Hood and Other Stories" will be performed at The Alden at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. Tickets are $15, $10 for MCC tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

The show is comprised of a modern retelling of four classic tales, "Little Red Riding Hood," "The Emperor's New Clothes," "The Princess and the Pea" and Hans Christian Andersen's "All's Well That Ends Well." Audience members can participate in sing-alongs and each story has just the right blend of faraway fantasy and contemporary reality.

Pushcart Players, of Verona, New Jersey, is currently celebrating its 39th season of stirring up serious fun, not only throughout most of the United States, but also in the former Soviet Union, in the Czech Republic and in two guest appearances at the White House. The dynamic company is the recipient of an Emmy nomination for two prime time specials and numerous awards for excellence and innovation in the development of theatre for young audiences.
