ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR

“EAT ME: ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN THE WORKING CLASS”

A WORLD PREMIERE ADAPTATION OF LEWIS CARROLL’S

“ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND”

WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY ISAAC ELLIS

Artistic Director James Ingagiola and Executive Director Isaac Ellis are pleased to announce The Brass Tacks Ensemble’s auditions for Eat Me: Alice’s Adventures in the Working Class written and directed by Isaac Ellis.

Alice is a disillusioned employee stuck in the doldrums of corporate life. When the Division Director, Mr. Rabbit, suddenly walks out of a board meeting, Alice volunteers to bring him back. Yet as the stress of her job slowly pushes her over the edge, she finds herself navigating a building of usually egotistical and shrewd employees who have collided with the whimsical personas of Wonderland.

Auditions will be held September 13 & 14, 2015, 6-9 p.m. at Children’s Creative Center(1600 Pauline Blvd, Ann Arbor, MI). Callbacks, if necessary will be the evening of September 15, 2015. The director will see actors in groups of 4-8 for 45 minutes apiece. Actors must call or email ahead of time to reserve a place in one of the audition groups. Auditions will consist of readings from the script.

Roles are for 9 - 10 actors of any gender, young adult and older. The script does contain adult language. Rehearsals will begin the week of September 20, 2015 and will carry through to the performance dates. Rehearsals will generally be Sunday through Thursday evenings at the Children’s Creative Center.

Performance dates are Fridays through Sundays, November 6-22, 2015 at the Children’s Creative Center. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.
