OLD SCHOOL PARTY JAM Returns to the Orleans Arena This October

Old School 105.7 will present the return of "Old School Party Jam," a sensational concert event featuring a collection of R&B legends, to the Orleans Arena on Saturday, Oct. 22. The concert's lineup includes S.O.S. Band, Lisa Lisa, Zapp, One Way and more.

S.O.S. Band, best known for their this "Take Your Time (Do It Right) and "Just Be Good to Me," has been producing hit R&B music for more than 30 years. The band released three Gold-certified albums from 1980-86, including their debut album entitled "S.O.S."

Hailing from New York City, Lisa Lisa took the R&B world by storm in the mid-1980's as a member of the band Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam. The group was best known for its smash hits "Can You Feel the Beat," "Head to Toe," "Lost in Emotion" and more.

Zapp is known as one of the most influential electronic funk groups of the 1980's. Their hit singles "Dance Floor," "More Bounce to the Ounce," "I Can Make You Dance" and "Computer Love," helped Zapp earn three Gold-selling albums between 1980-85.

Detroit-based One Way hit the music scene in the late 1970's and enjoyed success with the Top 10 hit singles "Cutie Pie," "Don't Think About It," "Lady You Are" and "Mr. Groove."

The all-female group Klymaxx recorded several hits from the early 1980's through the mid-1990's. The band's 1984 album "Meeting in the Ladies Room" earned Platinum status and featured the successful self-titled single, as well as the Top 10 hit "I Miss You."

C+C Music Factory featuring Freedom Williams are best-known for the dance anthems "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)," "Here We Go (Let's Rock & Roll)" and "Things That Make You Go Hmmmm..." The group has been honored with many music industry awards, including five Billboard Awards, five American Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards.

Slave's Steve Arrington sang lead vocals on many funky singles, including "Just A Touch of Love," "Watching You" and "Wait for Me." His 1985 solo release, "Dancin' in the Key of Life," peaked at #2 on the charts.

Evelyn "Champagne" King rose to fame in the late 1970's with her Platinum-selling debut disco album, "Smooth Talk. Her 1982 work "Get Loose" topped the charts and featured the smash hits "Love Come Down" and "Betcha She Doesn't Love You."

Hailing from Los Angeles, Candyman conquered the rap charts in 1990 with his single "Knockin' Boots." He has recorded songs with several successful hip hop artists, including Nas, Ice-T and Sir Mix-A-Lot.
